7/31: Last day for guaranteed team placement. Last day to register at discounted price.
8/2: Teams Formed
8/10: Coaches receive their team rosters and start reaching out to their teams
8/12: Coach/Assistant Meeting Option 1 Island Brew 6pm (food provided) - must attend 1 of 2
8/19: Coach/Assistant Meeting Option 2 Island Brew 6pm (food provided) - must attend 1 of 2
(Schoolyard/6U/8U from 6-7pm)(10U/12U/14U) from 7-8pm)
Dinner and 1 Beer Coupon per Coach
8/21: REFEREE TRAINING OPTION 1: 10am-1pm
8/21: Coaches Clinic Girsh Park- 5U/8U: 8:30a-12:30p | 10U: 9:30a-4:30p | 12U: 9:30-5p | 6U: 1p-4:30p
8/23: Practices may begin if coaches have required training completed. Coaches may wait until week of 8/30.
8/28: Coaches Clinic Girsh Park- 6U/8U: 8:30a-12:30p | 10U: 9:30a-4p | 12U: 9:30-5p | 5U: 2p-4:45p
9/3: Teams to have volunteer roles filled (refer to each division web page for a listing of which roles are required)
9/4: REFEREE TRAINING OPTION 2: 3pm-6pm. Sign up at aysou.org: In Person Courses > Referee Instructor Led > Regional Referee Online Companion Course
9/11: First game all divisions EXCEPT for Schoolyard (see detailed schedule under "Important Documents" on home page
9/18: Schoolyard league begins
9/18: Picture Day
9/24: Viola Fields NOT available for practices
10/23: Last game for Schoolyard league
11/13: Last game for all divisions (except Schoolyard)
11/20: Area Playoffs, U10 and up for qualifying teams
AYSOU has a large library of coach and referee training available online. Additional coach and other training dates will be added as the season nears.
