Carpinteria AYSO is an entirely volunteer organization. All adult participation is on a volunteer basis. Carpinteria AYSO offers rewarding volunteer assignments that fit any schedule, calendar, and interest. Carpinteria AYSO is committed to volunteer background checks, annual volunteer registration, first time volunteer certification, and volunteer training. Our commitment is demonstrated by 100% compliance to these standards in order to protect our children and our volunteers. Please see our
Child and Volunteer Protection policy for additional information.
Volunteers contribute to their child and their child's team as Team Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Parents (Managers), Referees, U8 Game Officials, and Field Prep. Volunteers may also contribute to the organizational support for their child and their child's team as Field Monitors, Program Administrators, and Region Board and Staff members. Parents are encouraged to volunteer for their own benefit and development as community members.
Our ability to provide a quality soccer experience to the children in our community is determined entirely by the contribution of volunteers. All adults are capable of a significant and successful contribution. The quality of that individually generous contribution is defined by
annual AYSO online volunteer registration, first time volunteer certification, and AYSO training specific to the position you choose. Please see our AYSO Volunteer Job Descriptions for additional information.
All Carpinteria AYSO volunteers must submit an annual AYSO Volunteer Registration application online at www.eayso.org. The volunteer application is signed electronically. First-time Carpinteria AYSO volunteers are required to present identification in person, by mail, or scanned copy through email. All Carpinteria AYSO Volunteer applicants agree to submit to a background check conducted by the National Office Safe Haven Department of the American Youth Soccer Organization. Disclosure of your SSN, CDL, and background check information are limited to the AYSO National Office and Child Volunteer Protection Advocate and encrypted for electronic registration.
