Carpinteria United U14 Girls Take 2nd Place at Founder’s Cup

The Carp United U14 girls had a great showing at the April 23-24 Founder’s Cup Tournament in Torrance. After sweeping the competition in pool play with a 3-1 win against Palos Verdes, a 3-1 win against San Pedro and a 3-0 shut-out win against South Torrance, the team seeded first place in their pool and advanced to the championship bracket, where they fell 0-3 to the same Palos Verdes team, landing them in second place overall. The coaches are super proud of these girls and the effort they put into training and working together as a team.

Players, enjoying their pre-game cheer, are: Cydney Smolnikar, Monse Alpizar, Zahea Hamadi, Emily Montoya, Savannah Alvarez, Victoria Delk, Shaylah Alvarez, Kiana King-Seabra, Yaritza Santes, Kenna Mayer, Pilar Renteria, Alyssa Pakes, Katelyn Hoidal and Lily Torres.
